About Us
We want you to know that many people
experience what you are going through.
It is estimated, that nearly 13 million
Americans suffer from urinary incontinence;
5.5 million suffer from fecal incontinence.
In some cases, people are affected by both.
You are not alone … and we are here to help.
The Pelvic Floor Center is the premiere facility
in the nation focusing on the in-depth assessment
and treatment of the pelvic floor. We
see over a 400 patients each month, providing
them with accurate assessment and
options for proper therapeutic treatment.
The Pelvic Floor Center provides diagnosis,
consultation and treatment for:
• Fecal incontinence
• Urinary incontinence
• Chronic constipation
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Rectal cancer
Our History
The first anorectal physiology laboratory was
established in the Twin Cities by the physicians
of Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates
in 1980. Housed first at United Hospital and
then at the former Midway Hospital, the laboratory
and its treatments continued to evolve;
adding sophisticated ultrasound technology,
expertise in biofeedback and increasing our
participation in clinical trials. In 2000, the
Center was established as a free-standing
clinic under the direction of Dr. Susan Parker.
The Center continues to grow and expand
its multidisciplinary approach to pelvic floor
problems that has proven so beneficial to
our patients.
